Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

Lasik Eye Surgery Board Index

I had the procedure done 2 weeks ago, I was originally -1.25 left and right and I did have dry eyes.

After the procedure, the right eye, initially blurry, has improved although it is now stuck at 60% vision and I now have +0.25 instead.

The left eye has been blurry until 1 week after where my doctor suggested reopening the flap to wash it. It's been 1 week after the washing and my left eye is still as blurry. There is no day-to-day improvement whatsoever.

My question is, is it possible that I now have induced astigmatism? What it the likelihood that my eye is still healing 2 weeks post op? The vision has been at 30% for the whole 2 weeks, never worse never better. Also, the vision on my left eye is slightly darker than the right one. Is this a sign that it's still healing, in which case there's still hope? Or is this something else?

Doctors have been saying I might have edema, I might have epithelium cells, keratin and all sorts of things. I don't know whom to believe. I have been constantly using eye drops, etc. but there is still no improvement.

Please, I will appreciate any insights or answers you might give me. Right now I'm just really depressed to the point where I just cry and cry. I do regret it, believe me I wish I could go back to 10 days ago and stopped myself from having the surgery. I'm getting married in 2 weeks. In hindsight I shouldn't have risked it but I did it because I wanted to be able to see my husband clearly when he's waiting for me at the altar.
