... I had my procedure done in April of 2000. I was -8.75 in both eyes and have had 20/15 vision in both eyes ever since. There was a question initially whether I'd be an ideal candidate, since I have large pupils, but the dr. felt I'd be happy with the result and so I went ahead with it and couldn't be more pleased. I had no pain or discomfort at all, although I did have... (6 replies)
... I'm curious how long ago your procedure was. I can often ignore or forget the effects overall, and just get on with things without being too terribly affected, but I find myself distracted, at least, by halos around streetlights and car lights at night, etc. On one hand, those distractions seem very frequent--every light and illuminated surface is a reminder of things... ... You did not post how long ago you had Lasik. If recent, you still have a lot of healing so just keep using the artificial tears and visiting with your Dr. on a regular basis. I'm 2 months post op and the traffic lights are double from a distance. This started about 3 weeks post. I have 1 eye that is not clear. May need a touch up but I'm waiting 6-8 months before that... ... Hi, This is my first post here, very sorry to be bothering. I've had Lasik cirurgy and i've been experiencing double vision only on my right eye, this double vision only occurs when i look at lights or at the computer, not objects, unless they are shiny. I'm a bit concerned because i didn't find much about this symptom and i was wondering if someone could tell me if... (4 replies)
... I too had lasik surgery (dec 27 2012) . It has been a horrible experience and wished someone would have told me what to expect after the surgery. I still can't drive so I'm out of work, I have problems with nigh vision, ghosting, halos and double vision. My doctor keeps telling me it's part of the healing process. I'm very depressed my whole life has changed and depend on... (0 replies)

... all complicatins and everything, and yet i've done it. Sorry, but i consider normal NORMAL vision withut any loss of acuity, any starvburst and glare and halo ghosting etc, sorry but that s normal vision, this what you have is lasik vision. And ok, you are happy with that, I am not, as many other here. ... (40 replies)

... ght vision, while much improved since the first few months, is still not as good as I would like. The starbursting is pretty much gone now, but I still get some ghosting on whites over blacks. All in all its only in fairly low light that I notice. Watching TV sometimes its noticeable as well. ... (28 replies)
... y and upon waking my eyelids are so dry they stick to my eyeballs and it hurts to pry them open. They never warned me about dry eyes getting worse. I also have ghosting and glare in one eye cause of my big pupils. They told me I had large pupils but they still said it was fine..what a lie!!! ... (5 replies)
Post-Lasik Anxiety

... Weaver... Very interesting read. Unlike you I didn't do any research on LASIK. Just had had enough of glasses and contacts. Jumped right into the fire. Like you I'm freaked out from posssible flap issues. Just sickens me to no ends. My main problems are starburts, halos and ghosting.just plays on ones mind till no end. Undercorreceted in one eye. No freaking way I get a "... (3 replies)
... Hi! I feel your anxiety and pain - I had conventional ILasik done on 1-15-2010 and, like you, have wondered the same at times - but I have to remember that I spent thirty years severely myopic minus -12.00 on each eye with endless contact and glasses issues; please give yourself time to heal - my eyes continue "to do battle" and my doc reminded me that in my case it was major... ... Wow.... I'm a tad over 3 weeks post-Lasik Surgery and wondering if I've made the biggest mistake of my life.... Sigh.... Right Eye - Up until 2 days ago the right eye was rock solid. While I've had halos at night, the visual acuity has been very very good. About 36hrs ago, my right eye's night vision has fallen off a cliff. While everything is perfectly clear and good in... ... My vision was -10.25 in both eyes with slight astigmatism. It has been about 2 months since my surgery. I had PRK instead of Lasik. My vision is at least 20/20 if not better. It gets better everyday. Three weeks after surgery I was about 20/25. I still have trouble with haloing, ghosting, and starbursts at night. PRK has a longer recovery time. I need to give it at... ... Elizabeth, I wish you and I could be counted with the ones that were happy from the beginning! This is very frustrating to me. I'm not sure about the depth perception, but I do know as it gets darker, I get more frustrated, because everything is very dim. I'll be honest and say at this point, I regret my decision to have Lasik, because I can't see well out of either eye. Left... (30 replies)
