... I had LASIK surgery 4-29-98. I had no astigmatism and my diopter was -8.0 Since the surgery,I don't where glasses, but I have constantly changing astigmatism, very bad ghosting and starbursts/flares. When I wake up, my vision is the worst and I would have a hard time driving if it was dark out. If I spend the day in the sun, my night vision is better when night falls. I... (1 replies)
... Djust... I would love to keep up to date with your recovery process. I myself had an enhancement 6 months ago, which left me with severe double vsision and ghosting. This has improved, but not to the point where I am comfortable with my vision. Lights are worse, like car headlights where I see 3 lights instead of 1. I also struggle with letters and faces. Fingers crossed yours... (14 replies)
... Now I am on this board trying to get some reassurance that the ghosting and blurriness is going to subside. ... (14 replies)

... it either goes right or goes wrong. impacted vision with effects and ghosting is not normal healthy vision. It's a tradeoff for glasses. ... (40 replies)
... is the hardest correction to predict. I went from .25 to .75 in my left eye, but at least my nearsightedness is gone. I personally have not had any issues with ghosting or halos, at least not any more than if I wore contacts at night. ... (40 replies)
... I'm having the same exact problem and I'm one month into it. Though the dizziness subsided after two weeks, the ghosting and blurry stays. The doctor told me because my eyes are dry. ... (8 replies)
... Anyway, keep your spirts high yeah. Although we may not be perfect eyesight after this surgery, we need to understand that there are some things that are important in life apart from eyesight as well, our physical wellbeing of the body and health is important. Do some exercise to keep fit! =) I do not have glaring systoms in the morning, only sunblasting at night. But to me... (23 replies)
... Hi I'm new to this board, I had custom wavefront surgery 7/8/11. I'm really worried something is wrong. I had a high prescription -8.5 R eye - 7.5 L eye. According to the surgeron my surgery went well, no pain or discomfort at all. Although my vision was very blurry right after my surgery (like I had glasses on and they fogged up in a steamy shower) My post op appt next... (0 replies)

... before. It's still got a ways to go, but I am seeing improvement. Really dark roads are still a bit blurry, but the star bursts are noticeably better now. The ghosting is better now too, its still there, but I almost have to look for it most of the time. Very high contrast is where I still have some issues. ... (28 replies)

... I had intralase. Paid alot more for it because it was supposed to be more accurate with less risk of complications. LOL...i agree with the nervous breakdown part. I had severe corneal edema right after my surgery, which was Dec 21. All i could see afterwards for 2 weeks was a complete blur, and i was legally blind. My left eye resolved and i see 20/30 out of it. My right... (8 replies)
... i'm in the same boat as you. i had my eyes done in late april. -10.25 in both eyes. huge 9mm pupils (6mm is normal). thin corneas. i am now 20/20 but the ghosting, glare, starburst is still bad. it has gotten better but still bad. (7 replies)
... Hi Neorbs! Thanks for your response! My vision still does fluctuate, but I didnt' really have any problems with double image/ghosting. For the first month I had some issues in my left eye with cloudiness or fuzziness around lights and windows and stuff. That cleared up around 5 weeks I think. One week post-op I was 20/20 in my right and 20/15 in my left. ... (4 replies)
... SDV I had some noticeable floaters the first week or so but they have subsided somewhat.I can see them if I concentrate in a bright room or outside in sunny areas. I saw that you are 4 months post op.I was wondering how your vision has changed in that time.First month vs.2 vs. 4th month. My R.eye still has long periods of fuzziness or double image/ghosting daily but also... ... It's been about 6 weeks for me now and I'm still very blurry (we'll leave some of my other issues out of this conversation and stick to 'regular' lasik stuff :) ). I think for a few seconds here and there I CAN SEE!, but it never lasts. My surgeon feels I may need an enhancement (since my refraction now is around -1.75), but wants to wait a minimum of 3 months to check my... (11 replies)
... I was -10.25 in both my right and left eye. I also had slight astigmatism. I didn't go with lasik. I chose to do the PRK surgery instead. My vision after three weeks was 20/25 but was very foggy. It has been about 2 1/2 months. I am now 20/20. My day vision is perfect. I noticed that it improves everyday. I went into this with realistic expectations. I didn't expect... (11 replies)
... I agree with Donna.. I had mine done 4/2000 and my prescription was nearly -9 in each eye. I did see quite well right away but then about a week and a half later my vision started getting blurrier and I was getting "ghosting" when I was in dim light. However, this was merely part of the healing process - they hadn't quite explained that I would go through some ups and downs... (9 replies)
