... Another thing is I thought that Intralase is better then regular Lasik with mikrokeratome, safer, it turned out that the healing was so painful that I think that regular Lasik is probably better. ... (18 replies)
... nough without them. Mine was completely different before I had this done, I was happy, carefree, nothing borthered me.. So, how are you all guys doing with your Intralase experience? ... (18 replies)
... I've been having some problems with starbursts in dim light or night condition. ... (1 replies)

... OK, this board has helped me with a lot of my questions so I thought I'd post my Intralase experience, for better or worse. I'm scheduled to have the surgery in 2 days. ... (36 replies)
... Hi, Today was a bad day.. Red, irritated eyes.. I definitely regret now what I did.. My vision is still not perfect, not as crisp. I still see as though through a vail..And I was teaching today and noticed that I can`t see up close very well either.. That`s just sickening.. My body is just aching all over.. I`m so stressed and scared.. I was thinking about it and realized... (18 replies)
... Thanks for the in depth update. I went with the intralase for basically the same reasons that you listed in your update. I experienced no pain beyond the first 12 hours or so after the surgery. ... (18 replies)
... here, that doesnt mean you will be satisfied with such results. I actually would be thankful if i was put of by REAL not negative buit REAl comments, cause these problems happen to people, all are considered candidates and yet they didn't think it will happen to them, yet they are stuck with bad vision. ... ... i guess they are imagining all those problems. We all should have been born with low quality of vision, who needs sharpness right, or stable vision? Anyways I am thinking of not replying anymore. I get upset, it gets me down, there is enough reading material here for potential lasik candidates to see how some people end up. No point in repeating myself. I will focus on... (6 replies)
... I did not wear eye make-up for about 2 weeks after the procedure just to avoid any problems. After that I wore eye make-up again and have not had any problems. Hope this helps! (36 replies)
... granted. Think hard about taking the risk. There are plenty of people who are very happy with it, haven't had any problems, etc....but you need to realize that problems can happen. ... (8 replies)
... I think it is very early days for you and you will improve. These people who have no problems at all and see brilliantly straight after surgery tend to have small prescription corrections. I found I had dry eyes for a good 4 months. ... (2 replies)
... Please don't get me wrong. I'm grateful for every word you said. In fact, you could be one of the main reasons I opt out of this surgery. I also understand where you're coming from and am really sorry you have to pass through all these problems. I'm pretty confident that there are alot of things that could correct the starbursts issues to other stuff. From special drops to... (6 replies)
... My advice is don't do it. You are mislead it doent matter microkeartome or femto, what matters is second part of procedure, custom or optimized. What more matters lasers have limits, effective optical zones of ablation is 6.5mm, if your pupils expand beyond that area, chances are you will have poor quality of vision. They use transition or blend zone as they call it, that goe... (6 replies)
... My god blur, I wish you the best. Must be pretty stressful to have to go through this followed by LASIK. Those continous wrinkle problems scared me from the get go. Hopefully this straightens things out with the flap now. Looking forward I realize you may be considering more surgery. ... (14 replies)
... Arlotone, Hope it all goes well for you! The hard part is over now. My advice to you is to use the lubricating drops often, even if you don't think you need them. I used them about 10 times/day for the first month then back off to maybe 3-4 times/day. It will prevent future problems. Good luck!! (36 replies)
... 2 MONTH FOLLOW-UP: (good and bad news) I went for my 2 month follow-up yesterday and received both good and bad news. On the positive side my vision was 20/15!! That is better than the 20/25 I had with glasses so I am really excited. Also, I am having no dry eye or vision problems, so I am completely satisfied. However, I have a rare complication in my right eye. I am... (36 replies)
... OK, I'm 5 days after the surgery now and my vision is fairly stable. The distance is fine, I'm driving and all without any problems. Halos are getting better, but still present. The near vision is still fuzzy, although better. I tried on various reading glasses at the drug store yesterday to see if it would help and it had no effect, so I think this is just part of the... ... After the surgery: I sat in the recliner and the numbing drops wore off. It did not exactly hurt but my eyes were stinging like I had salt water from the beach in them. I was also sensitive to light and my eyes were watering like crazy. Even my nose was running. After he checked my flap I was sent home to sleep. TAKE A DRIVER. I could barely open my eyes on the way to... (36 replies)
... :bouncing: hi, again I had the right eye done today a few hours ago and am very happy with the results. Basically went through the same routine as yesterday, the suction pressure was a little greater and the laser seemed to last a little longer but otherwise no problems. Once I sat up there was a fog to the room and that lasted until about an hour ago, theres still a little... (6 replies)
... Natalia, Unfortunately, I still have the haziness in the vision in my right eye - no perceptible change. My biggest problem now is feeling dizzy and off balance. I believe because this is due to my brain trying to fuse two different images, but I just don't know. Acuity is getting better, 20/15 L, 20/20 R, but it is the vision quality issues that are my problems. So... (18 replies)
