I had custom wavefront lasik, I was under the impression there was no knife involved by the paperwork I have talks about a microkeratome. I don't recall them using a knife though. ... Friday was the day. I arrived at 9:30 and was given a sedative (not valium, but not sure what it was). Around 10:30 they called my name and took to an exam room where an assistant put numbing drops in my eyes. The doctor came in and looked at my eyes and briefly told me again how things would proceed.
