... I had lasik 6 years ago so it's a little hard to remember what the recovery period was like. I do know that I used the eye drops for as long as prescibed to combat the dryness that accompanied the surgery. I do remember that it took a few months for my eyes to "stabilize". ... (1 replies)

On one hand, I agree with you, people should not do it if it's only a fad, they might have different side-effects and the procedure would not make a big difference in their lives. Nevertheless, think about all the others-- who need this procedure in their life- professional sport players or people who don't see a thing without their glasses.... (13 replies)

To all those who are contemplating a procedure to get rid of dependency on glasses, my suggestion as somebody who has gone through it recently, is dont touch your eyes ... while the procedure is standard and this is not considered a high risk surgery, each person's reaction to the LASER and healing is different.
