My readers are blurry for things like splinter removal and since one eye has astigmatism and a little better up close vision, it is hard to adjust. You do get use it over time and since your distance vision is good and you have not mentioned dryness or halos etc then glasses for reading etc is not so bad a result. ... Without sounding mean, I'm glad I'm not the only one :). With regard to the exercises I was advised to do; nothing too strenuous. Just reading as you would, then looking out the window to focus on something and then back to reading (or watching TV).
