2 Weeks Post Lasik

... Hi, just wanted to let you know that I too had trouble seeing up close for the first two weeks or so. I had to put my laptop on my lap to see it, and I couldn't see the computer very well at work for a couple of weeks but after a couple of weeks it was fine and is no longer an issue, so it should get better and is normal from what I've read. ... I had lasik surgery 1-17-2007. The first night I got a wrinkle in my left (monovision) eye. It was repaired the next day and now 12 days later the Dr. says it looks great and I shouldnt have any problems. My distance vison is great but to read something I have to hold it about 10 inches from my face. Will this improve? The halo's are bad now also but I heard that would improve... (17 replies)
... Hi I'm new to this board, I had custom wavefront surgery 7/8/11. I'm really worried something is wrong. I had a high prescription -8.5 R eye - 7.5 L eye. According to the surgeron my surgery went well, no pain or discomfort at all. Although my vision was very blurry right after my surgery (like I had glasses on and they fogged up in a steamy shower) My post op appt next... (0 replies)

... Absolutely, go with the advice from Optimax. Consider the fact that they turned you down even though it meant lost revenue. Everything I've read says that a stable prescription is needed for a year or more. The definition of 'stable' varies, but for someone to ignore your past prescriptions even when you offered them is disturbing. There's no device that predicts future... (2 replies)
... This will likely (hopefully) be my final update. I had surgery about a month ago and just returned from my check up. I am now seeing 20/20 in both eyes, no astigmatism. My issue of blurry at all distances has been resolved. About a week ago my left eye started to focus and seeing became a lot easier! I was able to read a few letters on the 20/15 line as well! My... ... I said my daytime vision is perfect, cannot fault it in any way and my nightime vision is getting better every evening since I had the surgery. I have not seen a halo or a starburst. Headlamps and streetlights have a bit of glare to them but they were anyway when I wore glasses. ... (16 replies)
... When I first starting wearing a monovision contact I didnt think I'd ever get used to it. But I fianally did. I didnt have the halo's like I do now. My vision improved a lot after the first 2 weeks so give it time. My near eye seems to be moving out a little each week and My distance eye seems to be coming in closer so I think this is going to work eventually. (17 replies)
... Hating Glasses, Thank you so much for responding. I am really worried. I am praying my numbers will come down as I heal. I know it CAN happen and I pray for a minimum of 20/25 or else I feel that I made a mistake. I do admit that I see better now uncorrected than I did before surgery. Before, I couldn't even read this screen without glasses/contacts. I was thinking that I... (2 replies)
