... Amy, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some problems. I didn't have PRK, but I did have lasik surgery. My surgery was almost nine months ago and I still have problems. Most of my issues are dry eye related though. I wanted to let you know that I've also had some blurry days when my eyes were really irritated or dry. I would recommend that you keep using plenty... Anyone have PRK??
Jun 18, 2006
... Hey, Chris. Glad to hear you're doing better. I wasn't up to 20/40 (legal driving vision) until about two weeks, post-op. And that was with slightly corrective lenses from the Dr. I had those for one, or two (I can't remember) weeks until I stopped wearing them and had naked eyes for the first time in 15 years. My next appointment isn't until July 22nd-four months post-op.... (30 replies)
... For the two of you in this thread (so far), I'm almost one year post-op (had it done March 2006). Had an eye appt. yesterday, but didn't see the Dr (he was late). But the nurse/tech told me I see some 20/20. WOW! Okay, now to my point of this post: how are your eyes in the morning when you first open them? Are they so dry that it hurts like he** when you open them? I have... (5 replies)

... I've been reading this message board for a few months before my procedure. Although I've read some positive comments, most of the posts seemed to be on the negative side. Well, I had my procedure on 5/25/06. I went to Dr. K.A. in Santa Monica, Ca. He is regarded as one of the best refractive eye surgeons in the entire country. Yes, as most do, I researched almost every... (19 replies)
Anyone have PRK??
May 18, 2006
... Hi, guys. Nice to see new posters on this topic. Tomorrow (Friday, May 19th) is two-months post-op for me. My last appointment was three weeks ago and I go back in this Saturday. When I was checked the last time, I was apparently 20/30. I couldn't even attempt to read the 20/20 line on the chart. I can't say I've noticed an improvement over the last three weeks, but we'll... ... So how was the shopping spree? I love southern Cal. Wish I was there sometimes intead of the rainy midwest. We are getting clobbered today, but we needed the rain, so I won't complain anymore! ;) Eventually, when your eyes are at the point the mine are, and reading glasses are needed most of the time, you can always try a contact lense in one eye, that will... ... Your information was very helpful. In fact, I used your experience to ask the doctors tons of questions (I'm sure I annoyed them, but they were very patient!). Your experience helps others know what to ask. I'm sure in time, your eye will get better. My eye as of Monday (5 days post op) was 20/40. But then the took the lens off and roughed up the outer layer a bit (which is... (25 replies)

... jkm, Forgive me because I have the worst memory of anyone I know. I think it has to do with my minor insomnia and night terrors but, I would guess that that is another board entirely. Anyway, as I have such a poor memory and am feeling too lazy this AM to go look it up, do I remember correctly that you had PRK? Or did you have regular Lasik? Anyway, if you had PRK, I... ... I have a little bit of ghosting in my right eye (and probably my left but my left is only 2 weeks post-op, so it's too soon to tell). I had my right eye done one month ago with PRK. I think the ghosting is caused from the eye trying to adjust it's vision. Similar to when you are adjusting a pair of binaculars. You move the dial until things come into focus. The cornea is...
