My girlfriends 2 year old son had leukemia he had treatment chemo for 5 months.

He has been going to regular check ups and is so far in clear once a month.

He went this month and they did a special test to test iron levels and I guess normal range is 60 for his age and his was 390.

They said that was to high and could cause damage to liver and heart and could end up being life threatening.

The two options to fix this is medication and or getting his blood draw out once a month to keep levels low till his body filters it right

They said the reason this is happening is a common reaction to chemo treatments.

So they had a thing set up where they felt medication is too harsh for his age and they were gonna do the blood draining thing.

Well today they called and cancelled and said that he's to Young for both treatments and feel like there gonna wait to see what happens and now all of the sudden it's high but not to high for him to be harmed in there new found opinion they said they will check again in a YEAR for high iron

Does this sound fishy? What are your thoughts? It's so werid they were concerned gonna do all these things now it's, Oh never mind, he's okay.

Thanks again
