Hello Everyone
First let me start by saying that I am very sorry for those of you that have Leukemia and my prayer's are with you all.

Second what I really need is for someone to tell me that my symptoms could not possibly be leading to a diagnosis of a type of Leukemia. I have been a bit worried and have been stressing myself out and I am hoping that someone will tell me that I have been doing this all for nothing. I do have Fibromyalgia and stress just makes my pain that much worse.

In April I had gone into the hospital to get injection's into my spine from my neuro surgeon. The nurse had told me that he may not give me the injection's because of my elevated wbc which was only at 10.8. My surgeon did ask me if I had a urinary tract infection and I said no, and he proceeded with the injection's. This past couple of weeks I have been ill and I also developed a case of thrush. I went to my primary doctor and was giving a script and this did not clear up. I also developed these ulcers on my tongue. I have been sleeping my days away. I also have iron deficiency anemia that I developed right after my fusion surgery in June 2003. I had thought that maybe it was the anemia that was making me weak and tired. When I went back to my primary doctor he then gave me more scripts and this time did blood work. He also did a peak flow test on me as I have asthma, then immediately put me on a nebulizer for a breathing treatment. A couple of days later the nurse from his office called me and said that my wbc came back at 14 and my doctor wants to repeat the blood work. I go again to his office on Monday. In the meantime I still have this darn thrush that won't go away and I am still weak and tired and of course in chronic pain. I started to search the web on my symptoms and that was a mistake as that led me here. But I did read on this board that someone had stated that wbc's are usually higher than 18 when a diagnosis of Leukemia is possible. So then I started to relax a little. But then I went back to the web and learned about this red spots under the skin and I got really scared. I have had these but only a couple and I never knew what they were or what caused them. But they could be all together something else. I am on an antibiotic and maybe I will get lucky and my wbc will go down and this is just an infection. But if anyone has any information and would like to share it with me, or would like to tell me that I am over reacting, Please do so......
