Sometimes it can take the doctors a little time to find the culprit. It could be a number of different things, yes, including leukemia. The only way they can definately diagnose or rule out any form of leukemia is by a Bone Marrow Biopsy.

Your daughter's WBC may just run high, it may just be coming down from an infection before. Jenna, my daughter, had pneumonia after her transplant. They did her counts every week. It sky rocketed and we held in the 12,000 - 15,000 range for over 3 weeks. Sending me into a tizzy. All during the while, her pneumonia was clearing up. Please understand that at that time we were having weekly appointments with her Transplant doctors.

Have you found anything new out? I am praying that they find the cause quickly.
