I went for routine bloodwork in January this year, and the doctor said my
White Blood Cell count was elevated. I had recently been sick with a sinus infection, so she said to wait a few weeks and re-test.

I had bloodwork done again 2 weeks ago, and the doctor said that
"not only has my WBC count not come down....it has actually gone up."

I am terrified that I have Leukemia.

I have no other symptoms....and I feel fine.
I am 35 female and have no other health issues.

Note: I recently began working out at a gym, after leading a rather
sedentary lifestyle. I have been working out very rigorously, and someone
told me that there may be a connection. (?)

Is there anything else that could be causing the high white cell count?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
