Hi!
I'm looking for any thoughts on the following.

My daughter (27) has for years had oral ulcers & sometimes had sun rashes. She has been tested a few times over the past 10 years. Never a dx of anything - but sometimes a slightly low WBC count & one time a slightly positive ANA. She has had bleeding gums forever & currently has abdominal tenderness in her upper left quadrant.
She went to the doctor this week for recurrent chest pain (cardiac was quickly ruled out). The doc did blood tests and found the following (only abnormals):
WBC 2.1
SEGS% 11.1
LYMPHS% 52.4
MONO% 32.5
NEUT# 0.23
SEGS/100WBC 1
LYMPHS/100WBC 55
LYM ATYP/100WBC 2
MONO/100WBC 36
BASO/100WBC 1
ALT 11

I know they've done other blood tests, but the results might take several days. She's been referred to a Hematologist next week & will have an ultrasound on her abdomin tomorrow.

So, my question is, does this look like a leukemia type problem?

Any thoughts would help.

Thank you.

Hi there,
I have leukemia but never had probs with my gums or mouth. Her wbc are low enough to make her neutopenic, which is dangerously low for her immune system. It does not take long for doctors to figure out a diagnosis if it is leukemia, hopefully you will know before you read this. Good Luck!!
