Hello, all. I am new to the boards. I am soooo scared. My primary doctor has referred me to a hematologist because my wbc count and platelets have been high for awhile. However, they seem to fluctuate. For instance, in November 2011, my wbc was 10.9 (slightly above normal), but one month later, the wbc was 15.9, then 12.1, then, 13.1, and now 14.5. My platelets seem to follow the same pattern.

PS: My differential does not show any inconsistencies, but the absolute neutrophils are high.
The first thing that comes to mind is Chronic Mylegenous Leukemia.

Please help.
Hello, all. Just a few words to those of you who are in the same boat as me. I went to visit the hematologist for the first time on Tuesday; Thank GOD I do not have Leukemia, but I do have thrombocytosis )High platelets). He also stated that sometimes with this condition, your white blood cells will be slightly elevated, so I pray that before you let the internet scare you into thinking something you don't have, go see a hematologist first. I am praying for all of you.
