Hello friends!
I had my B12 tested in spring and it was over 1800. At the time I was taking B12 supplements, and doctor told me to stop them. A couple months later, we tested again and my B12 was lower, but was still high (1250). I have not been taking any supplements all summer and now, 7 months since the first high reading, we tested again and it is 1080. A definite downward trend, but could it really take this long for B12 to leave my system after stopping supplements?

Another concerning thing on my bloodword this week was a low WBC and low neutrophil count. WBC was 3.1. I have never had a low WBC, ever. Don't know the neutrophil count but it was out of range low. I did not have a cold or virus at the time of the blood draw.

With leukemia, which I read can cause B12 to elevate, would it have a downward trend like this, or would it continue to go up?

Should I be concerned, and if so, what type of doctor should I go see? Thank you, Terry
