... My good friend was just told he has acute leukemia and was whisked into the hospital, had a shunt/catheter inserted for chemo, and is pretty stunned by what is going on. So am I! ... thank you for replying. he is currently in seattle(i fly out there tomorrow). he was a minor mismatch at the C alele level which they say doesnt affect outcome, so i hope they are right. he starts chemo next tuesday in pill form, hard chemo starts next sat/sun, monday rest and tuesday transplant. they really seem to know what they are doing so i am confident he is in good...
