... Basically, red spot under the skin (not outside) is minor bleeding in your skin (petechiae). It could happen from Leukemia because of low platelets. However, several red spots in your skin does not mean you have Leukemia. It could come from allergy, trauma, food intolerance, etc. You should be aware if your petechiae become purpura (larger size of bleeding), spreading to... (8 replies)

... Still waiting a diagnosis. I was given a Lyme disease diagnosis in June. Having never been bit by a tick (to my knowledge) I have a hard time accepting this as my final diagnosis. The antibiotics I was given haven't done a thing. I'm just going to let you know my symptoms and why I'm seeking information and help in finding out if I have leukemia. Extreme fatigue, Painless... ... Those little red dots can be caused by low platelets which has many causes. The red dots can also be caused by inflamitory processes. I got them from a kind of vasculitus. I'd get them on my arms from shopping bags. I've also had things that looked the same but we more like mini hives. Yes get a blood test. & take pics when it's bad. (5 replies)

... My advice? If you're really anxious about it, try to demand a CBC (blood panel) to give you peace of mind. Find a new doctor if yours won't do it, but it's a pretty common test I think. They take a couple viles of blood and send it off to a lab check for a bunch of things... platelet, red & white blood cell counts and so on. I'm no doctor, but you probably have nothing to... ... I have been worrying my absolute head off because of these tiny, pinprick red spots on my arms. They only appear on my arms and very little amount everywhere else. If you look at my arms, you wouldn't see them unless you really looked for them. I don't have them on my face. I don't have any of the purpura or anything else. Neither do I have any bruises or any bone pain. But... (5 replies)

Turns out he had some unexplained bruising and petechiae that I didn't know about. His WBC was 78,000!!!!! Most of his symptoms were from a dangerously low platelet count of 23,000. ... (8 replies)
... I've noticed I have a few in different locations on my body - the ones I first noticed were on my neck. Is there some way to determine from the number/location whether or not it is suggestive of leukemia/cause for concern? (0 replies)
... I haven't been on HealthBoards in a while and for those who don't know me I got bit by a tick back in 2004 and got Lyme Disease and other tick-borne illnesses. I started having bone pain in my right femur just a few months following tick bite back in 2004. I was under a LLMD's care for several years and always attributed my bone pain to the tick bite or due to one of the... (0 replies)
... I'm a teen female who has been noticing many minor changes in the past few months. At first I thought they were all unimportant details. Then, I read that I have many symptoms of leukemia. ... I stopped the garlic thing over a year ago but still have petechia, which is why I mentioned it. And it's the neck pains that have caused me to become concerned again. (2 replies)
... You consume copious amounts of garlic, a known blood thinner, and get petechiae. You then go on a 5 hour hike up a mountain and feel winded. Then you did some exercise and got a headache. Is this some kind of joke? Paranoid? Yes. Leukemia? No. Excuse me while I go chop a finger off with the axe, and then go ask a web health forum if they think I might have... (2 replies)
