Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

Liver & Pancreas Disorders Board Index

Hi everyone,
I thought this might be a good place to reach out to others who may be in the same situation. I have read the other threads and they are all so helpful and supportive.
I am 37 years old and I have a 2 year old son. When I was pregnant to him they found several lesions on my liver as I had itchy skin due to elevated liver enzymes. Initially they didn't know what the lesions were and just kept a close eye on them. After my son was born and after many more tests and scans they finally said that they are multiple adenomas. They monitored them for every 3 months initially and now every 6. At my appointment before last I asked about future pregnancies as previous to this the specialist I saw said be happy with one. At my last appointment the specialist told me that the multi disceplenary board met and that they were happy for me to go ahead with close monitoring. They said there is a 5 to 7% chance of rupture. I'm happy that they said to try but I'm also very concerned as I have my son to think of to. Has anyone has experience with adenomas and pregnancy? Thankyou :)
