I've received only some of my blood work results from my latest rheum appointment. My ESR is still elevated, but the most interesting result is my WBC count. I've had my WBC count monitored several times over the past several years and my values have consistently been 6.8-6.9 (range 4-11). In fact I had it done less than 2 weeks ago and it was 6.9.

Today I found it plummeted to 4.5, which I've never had it that low. My question is, does my value have to be below the range to be considered leukopenia, or is leukopenia based on simply a sharp decline in WBC?

TIA
