Re: Questionss???
Apr 14, 2005
Thank you, Angelic and VeeJ for responding to my posting. Here is a list of the tests that I have had done so far-

ANA - this was flagged by the lab (lab says <120 is normal mine was 235
Rheumatoid A - Normal
Vitamin B12 (normal levels 211-911) mine was 324 and my doctor was concerned because she feels it is on the low side of normal.

Then I had Anti DS DNA, Anti smooth, Anti SSA SSB, Antiscleroderma, antiparietal antibody tests done - these just came back all normal.

AS far as the symptoms go I seem to have the following - joint pain in my elbows, knees and toes, sometimes my fingers,my back hurts all the time and I have been diagnosed with arthritis in it and also degenerative disc disease, a red butterfly looking rash on my face that comes and goes(it is also on the v of my neck), extrememe fatigue, mental fatigue- so bad sometimes that I forget how to do things - docs checked me for MS at one time because of it and said it was just stress. I also have IBS which is really bad right now. I have lost about 4 pounds this week because of it. Also, I don't know if this would be related or not but I get hoarse a lot for reasons that are undetermined. I have been to an ENT and been scoped several times but he said everything looked normal. This usually happens when I have overdone and just can't do anymore. It can take days to get my voice back to normal. I have also had bronchitis now for about a month. I just can't seem to shake it.

I also have high blood pressure that is very difficult to control - on three meds for that. And I have a congental heart condiition that my cardiologist says has actually gotten better in the past couple of years. I don't take any meds for that.

I supposedly have had mononucleosis twice in my lifetime. Once when I was a teenager and then when I was around 26 I ended up in the hospital for a week and was very sick for months with fevers, extreme fatigue, pain, etc. They did a culture on my blood and it came back positive for mono again at that time. I have always questioned that diagnosis, though, because I have heard that once you have mono it always shows up positive in your blood.

I am going to call the rheumy today and ask if any of them in the office deals with Lupus - I only have a few doctors that I can go to who are covered by my insurance. I'll let you know what I find out.

Thanks again. You girls are great!! It has helped me a lot just to be able to talk about this all.
