Gee, I had a huge hit at the same age: fever, big pain in multiple joints & long bones along shins/arms, fatigue, elevated sed rate, leukopenia (depressed white blood count), etc. I learned decades later this type of "hit" is common in girls starting menstruation who later go on to develop lupus.
