It can take years for it to become positive (if at all.. in 3% of people the blood work is never positive). Anti-SM antibody

... Hi, I've had positive anti-sm antibody, anti scl-70, and anti-dsDNA for the past 6 months. In my recent labwork, all were negative. Does anyone know if this is possible? I thought once you were positive, you were always positive. I've never read that they can become negative. (2 replies)
