Has anyone had any experience with testing results from this lab or can provide any feedback about these guys?

I recently had a rash on my elbow - went to the ER right away 2 days after and they send my blood sample to this lab in Norwood, MA. They specialize in testing for tick-borne diseases, particularly Lyme. I was given Doxycycline for 1 months and currently finished 2 weeks. Had decent fever and general muscle ache the night prior going to the ER. Rash started to immediately subside after taking antibiotics. Now i am feeling just fine.

So according to my Lab Discharge Summary i was tested for 3 things:

- BABESIA - Negative
- ANAPLASMA - POSITIVE
- BORRELIA BURGDORFERI - Negative

Particularly under LYME testing results it reads the following:

IgM < 1
IgG < 1
IgA < 1
NORMAL RANGE.
"NO IGM, IGG OR IGA ANTIBODY DETECTED. NO SEROLOGIC EVIDENCE OF EARLY INFECTION WITH B BURGDORFERI (LYME).

It didnt say anywhere what methodology they use so i called them up and they said the methodology is called "Tick borne disease panel Antibody Capture EIA" (ELISA Capture?) and it is "extremely accurate".

I am really concerned about picking up Lyme as a co-infection because from what i read here it can be quite deceitful and not show up as you all say.

Questions to all of you:

1. Would you personally rely on their methodology? If not, what would your next step be?

2. What are the chances of having ONLY Anaplasma infection and not anything else?

3. Should i do anything at this point or give it some time to see how i feel as a result of antibiotic treatment?

4. Has anyone been disagnosed with anaplasma ONLY and never discovered they had lyme?

Thank you all in advance for your feedback.

I sincerely wish you all to get better and stay away from this horrible thing!
