Lyme Disease Board Index

Hi moneymunger. What lab did your Western Blot? Usually, there are resuts
for an IgM and an IgG. The IgM shows a more recent infection and the IgG, a longer standing one. No test is completely reliable and results can vary by lab. It is important to be tested by a Lyme reputable lab such as IgeneX in Palo Alto, CA.

The bands marked with an asterick are Lyme-specific bands. Most of yours are equivocal and 41 is positive. Band 41 is often the first to show in a Lyme infection. I believe a Lyme doctor would consider the equivocal results significant. For a breakdown of all the Western Blot bands, see the "Western Blot Band Description" post at the top of the page.

Have you been able to make an appointment with a Lyme doctor?
