I have some complains from a long time: swollen glands, sore throat , hoarseness , acid reflux all of a sudden , and lately rashes some come after shower some not- they are itchy. Thatís about it
The thing is I have never been bitten by a tick, my husband is sick for a long time now so if I have lyme I got it from him: confused:
Thank you for the help
:)
Hi Mrs. Ekim,
I know Ticker and maybe others will come along and give you a more definite varification. I THINK this is accurate info. The bands with ** are the ones that are used for CDC diagnostic purposes, I think.
Still leaves questions, I know. For example, for me.. 18 was ++ and I don't know what that means. (Ticker may have told me but I forget).
If you have a:
- negative
-/+ equivocal (maybe)
+ positive, one or more

If you're MORE confused, ignore the above, take a deep breath and wait on Ticker, ekim, and your doc... ekim for big hug if nothing else. :)
Oh, and I agree with NC... just thought this might be helpful to you and all. Blessings, cj
Blessings.
Hi Mrs. Ekim. As ncgirl stated, many people are bitten by ticks without knowing it.

The IgM Western Blot tests for a more recent infection and the IgG a longer standing one. It looks to me like many of the Lyme specific bands on your test are either positive or equivocal. What dose of Biaxin are you taking?

For a breakdown of the bands, see the "Western Blot Band Description" post at this site. The link is http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=232473
Thank you Samaya35
I know what Lyme can do, my husband is sick now for a long time. That's why I am so sure it is sexually transmitted. I am seeing his doctor who is LLMD. I had ELISA done in Bulgaria- it was positive for IgG and I had Western Blot done here at IGeneX- positive for IgM.That's little confusing. I just don't feel so sick and I hope I will be ok. I am noticing more often strange rashes that come and go. At first it was only after shower but now it doesn't matter.
Hello to all the Ekims out there but especially Mrs Ekim,

I now get the connection between ekim1111 & you!

From reading previous posts by your husband he has certainly a rough time with the disease and is putting up a courageous battle..

My understanding isthat the Doctor has to evaluate this finding of the Western Blot along with other tests. For example, have you been tested for coinfections? Then the doctor has to take all those test results and the symptoms that you are currently experiencing and make a diagnosis.
So many doctors get so frustrated with Lyme patients because there is 1. no test to say you definitly have it or 2. a test to say do not have it. The test to prove Lyme disease does not exist at this time to my knowlege.
So you have a LLMD that is so important. Please let us know what he says.

Tks for sharing

PS Isn't it possible that the little tick jumped from your husband to you in the throws of passion and therefore was unoticed?
