Lyme Disease Board Index

Hi Anthony. Do you already have your Western Blot results on your computer? If so, you should be able to copy them, then open a new post here and paste them. Otherwise, type in the band number and the ones you have that are either positive (+) or equivocal (+/-). Do post them and I will tell you what I know about them.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to see a Lyme doctor. Just as it is best to see cardiologist for a heart problem, it is best to see a Lyme specialist when Lyme is a possbility. You also need to be tested for all the co-infections that ticks can transmit. I hate to see you waste possible treatment time because it takes you longer to get diagnosed. No Lyme test is completely reliable and results can vary by lab. A knowledgable doctor knows this.

I don't know if Lyme disease can cause a rise in your red blood counts. I know the co-infection Babesiosis may or may not affect the red blood cells. What are the ranges for the results you posted?

I hope you will consider seeing the Lyme doctor. You are very fortunate to have one nearby. Many people have to travel out of state to see one.
