Lyme Disease Board Index

Dear laurie,

I don't know if you can look up the title or not but I had printed this out for my doctor's nurse. I told her about it and she was real excited that this was available and wanted a copy. I haven't mailed it to her yet but the printout title was Healthboards - Western Blot Bands Description. If you can't find it let me know and I will retype it in the computer for you.

By the way I have a question for you. I haven't done a detox bath yet but after reading all of the threads on it I guess maybe I should. I was on the Rocephin IV for 9 weeks then a 3 week layoff and now on Doxy for a month. Maybe I'm feeling so sluggish because there is "roadkill" still in me and my body is not eliminating it quick enough. Won't your system just get rid of it by itself? I couldn't really do it on the IV because I never really got to take a "real" bath until a few weeks after the picc-line was out.

I talked to the homeopathic doctor and she said to mix:
1 cup sea salts
2 cups baking soda
1 cup epsom salt
Pour 1/4 cup in tub while filling and keep the rest in a container for further use. Is this a good combination? I know you mix the epsom salt and peroxide. Who gave you this remedy? I know it works for Mark just curious about this other concoction. I also guess you get the water as hot as you can stand it and as the water cools the toxins are supposed to come out. Do you need to be scrubbing your skin or do they just slough off?

I think that when I just take a real hot bath with nothing in it it works somewhat too because after sitting in the tub for a few minutes my legs really start twitching then stop a few minutes after I get out. Don't know.

As cj said you are the detox guru and I wanted to run this by you. The other just semed like a lot of peroxide, maybe not. Let me know about the bands thread.

Hi Betterdays,

While you are awaiting Laurie's response I can tell you that Laurie's reciped I see many use. I have seen it in detox information in a few places - although at this point I am forgetting where. I know a lot of people on the rifing site do the baths with Epsom and Peroxide. I use sea salt when not doing the epsom and peroxide and I think it is a natural detoxifier. I wished I lived near the ocean...think I would soak in it everyday if I did.

One other thing...body brushing is an excellent detoxifier...I do this before I take the epsom salt and peroxide bath. I got a little natural bristle body brush from the health food store. You basically brush your skin on extremities - every where you can reach - all over...always brushing towards your heart. Your skin is an organ hugely responsilbe for detox so this opens pores an sloths off old, dead skin.

Take care and happy bathing ;)
