Dear ryanbabs,

I wanted to give you a heads up on my experience. For over 4 years I was told I had MS but it couldn't be confirmed. After 6 MRIs a different neuro radiologist read my last 2 and said no to MS. I didn't know you could have a "negative" lyme test and still have lyme. I was considered negative because only 1 band showed poistive not the 2 required. It was band #23 which I now know is specific for lyme. After years of being ignored who knows how long it will take or if I will ever get better. Anyway my husband is retired and on medicare and when we searched for insurance for me I couldn't get it because the neuros were saying MS. I am now on Texas High Risk and it is $501/month with a $2500 deductible in network. Make sure you go to a doctor who will not label you with something you don't have because you may pay for it in the end. GGB knows her stuff. If you can pay for a real llmd such as Dr. Crist in Mo. it will be money well spent. This is just my opinion but if it is lyme you will probably pay sooner or later out of your pocket for a good one. Keep us posted and good luck.
