Hi Chantel. Lyme can cause elevated liver enzymes. If your liver is healthy, taking Milk Thistle daily can help keep them normal. Most healthfood stores carry it.

Have you been tested for all the co-infections? This is important because it may affect treatment choice and progress.

Do you know which meds you will be taking? Make sure you read the pharmacy print-out. Some need to be taken with food or you may get very nauseous. Some have food interactions, such as Doxy, where you cannot have any dairy, magnesium or iron products within two hours of taking it. Some antibiotics can cause severe sun-sensitivity.

Make sure the acidophilus you take is high-quality and refrigerated. Do not take it within two hours of any antibiotics.

There is no best combo for everyone. Each case is different and needs indiviudual treatment. What treatment is best depends on many factors including if co-infections are present, how long you have been sick, the type of symptoms you have, other issues that are present, etc.

One detox bath is to add four cups of Epsom Salts, 32 ounces of hydrogen peroxide, and 8 ounces of baking power to warm water (not hot). Use a dry skin brush and scrub your skin in a circular motion toward the heart before getting in the tub. Soak for 20 minutes. When doing this for the first time, I would try a few minutes at a time to see how you feel. Depending on where you are in the treatment process, they may be detrimental or beneficial.

Again, I recommend reading Dr. Joseph Burrascano's 2005 Diagnostic Hints and Treatment Guidelines For Lyme and Other Tick Borne Illnesses. It has a wealth of information, including diet, exercise, and supplement recommendations.
Hi Ticker:)

I keep forgetting about Milk Thistle. I just wrote it down so I can remember to get it. I think that and a few things for the detox bath is all I need to get.

For the detox bath, can you explain where on my body I should start with the dry brush?

I kept saying I was tested for co-infections but I don't think I was. I will talk to him about it when I go back in and see what he says. I thought that was all included in the bloodwork that got sent off to Igenex but I don't see it.

I don't know which meds I am taking yet. We are going to decide all of that when I go in. He has to weigh all the options and see what's best for me. I will definitely read the presription labels before I take anything. I already do that now.

Thanks for all of the info. I want to go in knowing all that I can so I can get the best treatment possible.

Chantel
