Hello ticker and scrmomof2 -- I am the one with the original posts regarding my daughter. I have both good news and not so good news. My 10 year old still has her PICC line and is scheduled to see ID doctors tomorrow. I don't think that she has been on the meds long enough (2 weeks - 20 mg -- cefatrixone). What do you think?

Beyond that, we picked up my 2nd at camp on Friday and found at least 4 deer ticks on her. I took her straight to the care unit that diagnosed my first and he put her on oral antibiotics for 10 days. We have a standing blood draw order for her. I am going to have her tested tomorrow -- though is that too soon? She is complaining of headaches and joint pain.

Finally, after a job interview today (rescheduled from Friday due to clinic visit), I found a tick on me. I feel like I am living in the twilight zone. My favorite tick dr has the day off today, I have a call into my pc doctor, and have the tick sitting next to me in a bottle. Do I need to do something about myself immediately? I have to admit, I cannot even think straight right now.

Also, I am afraid that I should be in contact with my insurance company (BCBS) at this point, but have not geared up for that yet. Any suggestions about that???

For scrmomof2 -- I ordered the picc line cover -- it works well. Also, you may not have heard that there is a lyme support group that meets at the Kirkwood highway library. I haven't been there yet, but will sometime soon.

Thanks for listening to my grumblings...
