Lyme Disease Message Board

Lyme Disease Board Index

Jul 26, 2007
Hi Everyone, well the good news is that my insurance is going to cover everything at 100%. This includes the radiologists picc line insertion, all the antibiotic (Rocephin) treatment, and the weekly visit to my home from the nurse. The bad news is that I have to wait to Aug 18, for the picc line insertion.

I am so sick. My symptoms have increased. I am so dizzy everyday. Constant ringing in my ears, difficult walking, heart palpitations, lack of concetration and focus, incredible neck and back shooting pains, and the list goes on and on. I feel like I'm losing my mind and it is a scary situation. I live alone and haven't worked since June of 2006. Its possible that my brother is going to live with me for awhile. It makes it worse being isolated. How anyone can work with this disease my hat is off to them. Before January 2006 I was probably the healthiest I have ever been. Working out daily, running three miles every other day. Now, I have problems walking down a flight of stairs to get my mail. I haven't been able to drive in months. I have to rely on my mother to get me groceries. My appetite for food isn't the greatest either. I force myself to eat even if its a little amount. It just doesn't taste right anymore. I'm so tired. I just want to sleep. This isn't easy either. I have a difficult time sleeping.

In the last three weeks I have developed a new symptom. Muscle spasms. It used to be one here or there. Now I could have a twitch in my calf, tricep, back, or upper buttocks all at the same time. Its silly. I guess this is another symptom of Lyme. Does anybody know if this is? M/S was ruled out in my case.

One more question. I am to receive Rocephin through an IV. I am wondering if I should ask my doctor to also prescribe Doxycycline oral at the same time. I was curious to know if other Lyme patients have been treated this way.

Thanks to all that respond.
