Re: Co-infections??
Aug 31, 2008
Hello eclipse27, I read your post and I want to answer because your symptoms are identical to mine. What really got my attention was your last symptom "ears popping every time I swallow". This is one of the most annoying symptoms that I have. I was happy in away to read this because I have told many many doctors in the past two years of my sickness and no one knows what to do. I was told by an ENT that it could be some kind of eustation tube dysfunction. Every time I swallow it's like pop pop pop pop pop. It happens in bilateral or in one ear 24/7. I have severe tinnitus. Do you also have the ringing/hissing?

Now the rest of your symptoms: brain fog/brain swelling
nausia
fatigue
disorented all teh time
dazy
spacey headed
studder/stumble in speech
stomach pain/abdominal pain
body aches horrible body aches
Feel like i have the flu
Head pressure
ear popping *everytrime i swallow*
cant focus on anything..

I have all of these symptoms, more so the neurological ones. I will tell you that I started treatment trough a picc line in Aug 07. I have done Rocephin, Doxycycline, Zithromax, and Cefepime. I have been tested during the past year for co-infections. Once while on antibiotics and once after being off antibiotics for two months. Both tests were negative. However, I've learned that there is no positive test for Lyme or co-infections. It's a clinical diagnosis. So you could do testing but it may be a waste of money.

Do you have anxiety/panic ever? I do really bad like 24/7. Because of this and all my other neurological ones, my doctor is now going to treat me for Bartonella and Babesiosis. I have just started Levaquin 500mg daily, today. I have read that the most common symptoms of Bartonella are the neurological ones. The worst for me is the confusion, brain fog, other cognitive problems like aggitation.

I would find an LLMD who listens and understands the co-infection symptoms. This is so dreadfull a disease.

Good luck to you and let me know what happens.
