Lyme Disease Board Index

Hi folks,

Yes, Lyme Disease can effect the functioning part of a person's life. For some more than others, I guess it depends on how sick each person is.

It has effected mine, I have to write everything down. I forget a lot of things, sometimes right in the middle of talking or doing something, sort of like and instant memory problem.

I also have joint pain and headaches which don't help the quality of my life, but I have been sick a long time.

More information can be found in Dr. Burrascano's Treatment Guidelines. www.ilads.org/burrascano_1102.htm

I think it's important to see a Lyme Literate Doctor. To find one, you can contact the Lyme Disease Association for a referal. The number is 1-888-366-6611

The website is: http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org/

The tests for Lyme Disease are not 100% accurate so a negative test does not rule lyme out. Lyme Disease is a clinical diagnosis that needs to be done by a knowledgeable doctor.
Also many folks don't get a rash and never see a tick, so you are not alone with that.

Good luck and God Bless. :)
