Lyme Disease Message Board

Lyme Disease Board Index

I am seeking a doctor in the above areas, hopefully on insurance. Anyone know of a neurologist, preferably, that will treat chronic lyme? Also any other types of doctors and their names appreciated. My child has been having cognitive issues - loss memory, concentration affecting her schoolwork, and mood changes. Already had 2 1/2 months antibiotic, negative spinal tap and MRI last year, never did IV med, now positive C6 (negative last year) and even more IGM and IGG bands than last year (also non-specific bands were included both times)Unclear why doctor now dismissing issue of lyme. Seems if amount of bands concerned doctor last year to prompt tap and request for IV, doesn't make sense now more bands and positive C6 would not prompt help.
Anyone know why each time tests done, the band numbers change - added new ones, or dropped other numbers in IGG or IGM. What is causing this? It seems if changes all the time, its by happenstance that when you check certain bands may or not be there, and that affects diagnosis.
