18 years old.
Asian, filipino

Cut to the chase, I'm going to describe my symptoms.

Symptoms (now)
- hands feel "heavy" and some fingers twitch and it's hard to type
- MEMORY PROBLEMS (scary)
- seeing bright white stuff
All symptoms I have experienced
- TMJ pain
- twitching on my left big toe
- neck aches
- formication (that feeling ants are walking on your skin) note: it usually happens on the left side of my body
- joint pain (knees and hands)
- chest pain (still do in some occasions)
- random aches all around
- difficulty breathing and fatigue (had a full week with these symptoms) (THIS IS ALSO THE WORST)
- brain fog

Backtrack to August, 2012

I just got suddenly a horrible episode of brain fog and disorientation and months after I suspected I had candida overgrowth (one that is dormant and I think was caused by co-amoxiclav which I took last November 2010 for my pimples) that got into my ear because before I experienced that horrible episode I was at a concert and drinking was abound and of course, I puked like the teen I am. And maybe the puke had candida in it and somehow got to my ear through excessive puking and caused VESTIBULAR PROBLEMS.

Fastrack to January, 2013

After battling the battle without any treatment I tried last December, 2012 taking garlic oil capsules and a month later my brain fog, fatigue and disorientation subsided. I truly felt relief.

February 2013
Now I think I'm in the clear and I considered that most were well. And I actually felt it.

Now the breaker is that I had a ROCKY fast craft trip going another part of my country and when I returned home I felt horrible again. This time was dizziness of significant magnitude and what I mean is that I was feeling I was still on the rocking boat.

A few days later, I felt better but I felt something was coming else to take the place of symptoms of mine.

Now fast forward to today, I have the symptoms I have described which are truly indicators of Lyme.

Feb 7 to March 1, that's the current days I have been experiencing these.

Now I will summarize my thoughts:

Was it really candida?

I think I really have lyme disease because I see a single tiny red spot on the top of my knee and upon closer inspection there two flanking tinier red spots which I suspect are actually bites! I have no idea where and when I got it and since its on my left leg, the toe twitching was only on my left leg and the formication was on the left side of my body also.

I think my infection was fast spreading considering the days passed and the symptoms I have are for stage 2 and stage 3.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THOUGHT

I have not been diagnosed yet because my parents think I'm just making things up or say it's all in my head or I'm stressed or I lack sleep. But clearly I am not. And I am scared even just by living everyday thinking this would get even badder and so I need your help in giving me the guts to get a checkup and support.

ANOTHER THOUGHT:
I live in the Philippines and not in the capital and I think finding a way to get diagnosed would be hard. Western blot and all that. What can I do to get diagnosed in a way that's available in a 3rd world country like mine? Do blood tests work?

I want to live normally again. That is all.

Oh my god. I have the SAME exact symptoms as you. I am a guy. Age 28. I live in Southern California.
My symptoms started August 18th 2012! Altho I feel a bit better now, I am still not back to my old self.
I believe it is Lyme too. I just was tested by IgeneX. It is the only reliable test.
Gosh, it is hell.
