... Hello everyone! ;) I just wanted to say, being his patient now for over 2 years, that Dr. D does treat with more than just two protocols. I have met a lady while waiting in his office for my appt., and we have become good friends and keep in touch via email and I know her protocol very well. She has been treated with at least 5 different protocols with Dr. D. I think later in... (24 replies)
... Well thanks everyone, looks like it's a heated topic as normal. I did call to try and book with Dr. D however I'm now chasing up my medical records from all over the place in the past 10 years to provide to any dr. I choose. As time is very important to me, I think I'm going to try and book in with Dr. P in CT, as I want to be checked as thoroughly as poss and treated.... (24 replies)
... Oh, Ticker, I totally understand what you are saying, I really do. I believe you. I know you know what you're talking about and I respect your opinion. I know I need to be tested for co-infections, it only makes sense. ... Hi Andy. Just for the record, I would not recommend Dr. D. I am sorry you are feeling bad. Six weeks is not very long treatment. What med and dose are you infusing? Have you been tested for the co-infections? How long were you sick before starting treatment? Dr. Steere is definitely NOT the person to see for Lyme. Absolutely do NOT give up! Never ever. It can... ... Hi Zandvoort! I was glad to read your post saying Dr. D was indeed testing you for Babeosis, that gives me some hope! That's the first I've ever heard of him testing for co-infections. Did you say you already did the test or that you are going to your next visit with him? And I don't know what you mean by 'Quest' results--what does that mean? I don't remember anything about... ... MC - Hang in there! Yes, it is the one in Hampton. I don't know, maybe other people have had good experiences with him - I personally haven't. I started seeing him in January and saw him a about 3 times. All he suggested was Igenex testing (for Lyme) which came back positive. He never suggested testing for co-infections although he said he was pretty sure (based on my... (24 replies)
... Hi Andy. Dr. Steven Phillips in Wilton, CT comes very highly recommended. I have heard only good things about him. Maybe you could see him. Neurologists are not usually Lyme knowledgeable. Getting Social Security can be a long process. It seems most people are deined twice regardless of why they are applying. Make copies of everything you fill out. Focus on how the... (24 replies)
... Hi Andy. I am very sorry this happened. Was it Dr. M? It is terrible enough to have these diseases, it is even worse to have to fight for the necessary care. It is a battle too many of us have to fight. Maybe your doctor would be willing to have you tested for the co-infections through IgeneX? (24 replies)
... Went and saw a supposed LLMD in NH and he was no help at all. I keep hearing from everyone how important it is to be in contact with your Dr and be monitored closely. Well, this LLMD had NO contact with me except when I showed up with cash. ... (24 replies)
