... You want to make sure you are using an infrared. This is the key. YOu don't have to get up to the hotter temp to penatrate into the skin. With the other saunas you have have higher temps and can't saty in as long. It's better for us to be able to be in for 30 mins. ... (12 replies)
... Last year I joined a health club just to use the sauna. They didn't offer reduced fees for using just the sauna so I paid full price. I also signed up my daughter. cha-ching -- it sure was a lot of clams! I used the sauna for 2 or 3 months but with no consistency whatsoever. The thermometer was broken so I have no idea how hot it got in there. I brought a book, my cell... (12 replies)

... unfortunately - the sauna has not helped yet. At first, It wiped me out and I'd be exhausted after. Now, it doesn't wipe me out anymore but no positive outcome yet. I just recently started sitting cross-legged inside it (instead of on the seat) so that I can get my head in there too so we'll see if that helps. Did you have trouble with yours at first, too, or did you see... (12 replies)

... Tamks  , The reason the infrared is better...well you can do a search and get more details if you want but it penetrates the body better at lower temps so you can stay in longer and your body retains the heat longer because you can stay in longer at lower temps. I sure hope Santa hears ya!! ~P ;) (12 replies)
... Thank you all so much for all the information!! :) So if I understand correctly, the infared is better because it helps detox better? Is it a light instead of a stream? Do you want to sweat right away or is it better to work up to it? I never would have thought about taking a shower right away to wash the yuck off, but that sure makes sense that your skin... (12 replies)
... gregonzola  , Only good things here!! Mine is a Saunamax full sauna. I wondered about you not having your head in there because heat escapes through the head and the lyme hides in the head also. You'de probably have better results with a full true infrared sauna. MAke sure you are getting in just at the temp you start to sweat. Otherwise you deplete the body... (12 replies)
