... bottom of legs up to knees, even the belching. We are suspecting lyme with her, especially since she had the Bull's eye rash over 6 yrs ago. She seems to have neuropathy from her head to her feet. ... (17 replies)
... Hi Aslo and welcome to the boards... I now track my infection back to 2000 by looking at old medical records, remembering huge grapefruit size lymph gland and repeated flu like symptoms that fall... and a series of rashes that started back then that I still have. But in Fall of '04 I was slammed with neck pain, gastro, moving arthritis including bizarre rib pain and pain... (17 replies)
... rays, blood work, EKG were all normal. MRI revealed I have Paranasal Sinus Inflammatory Disease, but otherwise was normal. Neuro assured me it wasn't neuropathy due to the EMG result. Tested for Lymes by a GP which was negative, and again by an IDS that was also negative. ... (1 replies)

... Soo I finally got in touch with an LLMD in Connecticut. I believe its $775 for the initial visit.. I'm not sure I can do that.. I wanna get better though. So hopefully I can seek help from my doctors. This stiff neck neuropathy dizziness things tho is getting old (16 replies)
... Aslo, my daughter did just have an MRI a week ago today. It showed nothing but a small arachnoid cyst in her brain and nothing in the whole spinal cord. She has actually had constipation, but I have heard that it can present differently with people in that dept. She has had early satiety (where she gets full after just a few bites of food, though she's starving) and also... (17 replies)
... P.S. Is spinal tap necessary? I would rather avoid that im sure. (17 replies)
... Joshua, Thanks for your post. Did your daughter have mri's? Did or does she have colitis like symptoms? Im waiting to hear about the doctor from Ticker. How does one do i.v. antibiotics? Do you have to be hospitalized? Or do you constantly wear an i.v. pack? (17 replies)
... Hello again, Aslo, when my blood was tested at IgeneX, not everything came back positive, I was negative for Babesiosis and positive for Ehrlichiosis. IgeneX is the most honest and accurate Lab, and I should know after being tested at over 40 labs. You really need to see a doctor as this will not go away by itself, even if you have to put yourself on a waiting list as... (17 replies)
... Ticker yes, the name in Hyde Park please. Also what about the Newburgh, Middletown NY area. (17 replies)
... Hi aslo. I know of three Lyme doctors in NY who come highly recommended: in Armonk, Hyde Park, and East Hampton. Would you like one of their names? As far as Lyme labs, they usually have more sensitive testing. Not everyone tests positive. IV antibiotics can also be used to treat Lyme. They make work better for you since you have g.i. problems. (17 replies)
... PS again. I appreciate all your replies. Now dont get me wrong, but sometimes i get the feeling labs likd igenex, might find too many positives? Its kind of like the comprehensive stool analysis lab that always finds yeast overgrowth. I just dont know who to believe about what anymore. (17 replies)
... PS I dont know how i could handle antibiotics with the g.i. problems, im already barely functioning. (17 replies)
... In the poughkeepsie new york area. (17 replies)
... Hi aslo, welcome to the board! I am sorry you have been so sick, I know it is frustrating. When Lyme disease is a possibility, the most important thing you can do is see a Lyme knwledgeable doctor. Many doctors do not understand Lyme and treat with outdated protocols. No test is completely reliable. A knowledgeable doctor knows this and will consider your entire... (17 replies)
... Hi Aslo, To my knowledge, an "accurate" Western Blot Lyme Test (done by IgeneX) will show Positive "bands" of antibodies to B. burgdorferi (Bb) which is the Lyme Spirochete. I am not surprised that your tests came back Negative since they were done by LabCorp as they do not use 100% pure lyme antigens. It's normal to panic when one is not feeling good and all these... (17 replies)
... P.S. Doesnt lyme also show up with sed rate and white cell counts? (17 replies)
... Thanks for your replies, yes i did the western blot on three occasions through LabCorp. I dont know which way to go at this point, and the panic and depression are holding me back from a lot. I should have mri's done, but i dread that at this point. I feel like im probably kidding myself with the lyme, but i did have several embeded ticks last year. I will try to check the... (17 replies)
... Hello Aslo again, I forgot to mention to you that after I contacted Lyme, I started having G.I. problems, severe joint pains, and to this day I still get numbness in my hands. Many other Lymies suffer from heart palpitations and panic attacks usually from a Lyme Coinfection called Babesiosis. I don't know of anything "natural" you can do as far as doing your own... ... Hi Aslo, Sorry to hear you are having all these problems. Lyme is known as the "Great Imitator" because so many diseases such as Chronic Fatigue, Lupus, MS, and many more mimic Lyme and end up being diagnosed as Lyme Disease in the later years. My tests kept coming back negative for 5 years because 99% of Labs do not use 100% pure Lyme Antigen mixed with one's blood. ... (17 replies)
... One year ago, developed a bowel problem, the runs, sick to my stomach, belching, tests, scopes find nothing. Blood tests including lyme negative, western blot. Then began developing shooting pains down the side of my leg, this lasted 6 months, then turned to burning soles of the feet. To this day i have, soft stools, nausea, rotator cuff discomfort, tingling, partial... (17 replies)
