... Rodney, I am taking zithro, flagyl & malarone, but I only take the flagyl 3 days a week, the zithro and the flagyl are for the Lyme, the Malarone is for the Babesia. I was on Biaxin & plaquenil for 10 months before I switched to the zithro-flagyl combo. But I have seen the most improvement with fatigue once I started the Malarone. But everyone responds differently to different... (9 replies)

... hi s&c, I have had symptoms similar to babesia symptoms such as heart palpitations, but I only tested positive for lyme, not for any co-infections. The things is, I took so many antibiotics in rotation that even if I did have babesia, it would have been hit by the things I was taking. I took doxy, biaxin, mepron, flagyl, zithromax, plaquenil, clindamycin, and I don't even... (6 replies)
... My doc put me on it for Babesia. I had no problem with it. No matter what we have, there could be herxes. If you are not detoxing your body as you go through treatment, such as soaking in Epsom Salts and Hydrogen Peroxide baths, taking charcoal capsules or anything else to help draw out toxins. (the dead) Then your herxes could be worse. Take Care Jodie (4 replies)
... Hi all I am a rank newbie here! I just googled and up this came. Guess we all have something in common here! How long can I expect my treatment (mepron and biaxin and plaquenil) to last? To be honest, I didn't feel THAT bad... in a relative sense. I did have chronic knee swelling/pain, some wrist pain, some lower back pain... and chronic iritis in one eye. it is... (3 replies)

... is because I honestly have believed all along that I had Babesia, I have had the symptoms for years, and the basic Lyme treatment has not helped me at all. also Plaquenil will not treat Babesia. One thing you should know about Mepron and Malarone, they are very expensive. I don't know what type of prescription plan you have. ... (24 replies)

... Stef, Hope your day is going OK! Since you feel that you have had the Lyme before you had your children I would definately get them tested. Especially your son with Autism. It was Dr. Jones who explained all the info about children with Austism to me when I took my son to see him last Oct. I wanted to make sure that I had not passed the Lyme onto my son. ... Hi Runningchick, Congratulations on your diagnosis! In my opinion (not a doctor) since you have chronic lyme, you should be on biaxin/plaquenil (or some other combo of abx which LLMDs prescribe). Doxycycline is fine but you have the chronic form so need to have a more aggressive attack than only one antibiotic. Are you being treated by a LLMD? Lyme-literate doc?... (1 replies)
... I have had lyme disease along with the co infections (babesia, mycoplasma fermentens herpese B virus and erliceosis) for 15 years and have been treated on and off by various doctors.
