... Hi, I have been taking Plaquenil (Hydroxychloroquine) for about 3 weeks (200mg/2x per day). A side-effect of Plaquenil, although I'm not sure how common, is color changes in sight. My LLMD had me go to the optomistrist for an eye exam beforehand-- so if any vision changes occur, we have a baseline to work from. My sister had this occur--WHILE she was taking it--- (6 replies)

... it is imperative that you begin treatment ASAP. The longer one waits the more imbedded the critters become and the more difficult to treat. I hope you don't have Lyme Disease but I think you should find out, especially considering how epidemic it has become. ... (10 replies)

... I take amox. and Plaquenil..I have no idea how to spell that. I started the Plaquenil about 8 months ago. They where not sure if I had lyme at that point. They were calling it "Undifferential connective tissue disease". Since then we have found out it is lyme but I continue to take it. ... (5 replies)

... Anyone considering taking PLAQUENIL, should be sure to get an eye exam first. I did not get a Baseline eye exam, and I should have. I am very angry at myself for not taking the warnings more serious about PLAQUENIL. I truly regret not getting a baseline eye exam, becuase only after about two months of taking it, I went from fantastic, eye sight, to very poor. I don't agree... (10 replies)
