Lyme Test Positive

... Diagnosis based on clinical symptoms is often used in place of diagnostic testing although IgeneX gave me the answers i needed as other tests were borderline. ... (2 replies)
... I agree, you need to see a specialist asap. Testing isn't always a 100% reliable, however my LLMD feels that even one band showing is indicative of Lyme Disease. I had only band 41 on my own test and was diagnosed on a clinical basis. I also tested positive for many of the Co-Infections associated with Lyme. I am now doing much better on treatment. Please don't delay... (2 replies)

... ing to a new place that does skin allergy testing. They have me giving myself injections of antigens. What next!!!! Last Thursday he tested me for Lyme, I had a positive reaction. I have to go back to him and see what he is going to do. ... (3 replies)
... Chuey, If you take some time and read through the posts here you will find a great many people with similar posts to yours. The problem lies in folks seeing doctors who are not specialists in lyme disease. If you want accurate information about lyme the ONLY doctor you should be seeing is an LLMD - lyme literate medical doctor. As well, your blood work should have been sent... (2 replies)

... From some of the other post I have read on this board, Igenex Lab in CA is the leading lab for Lymes testing. This is the lab that the LLMD I will be seeing uses. ... (4 replies)
... Please address it sooner than later with an LLMD. Lyme testing is not an accurate science so I would retest with Igenex, the best in the business. Do not take a blood test while on antibiotics because the results will be skewed toward the negative side. It sounds like you realize an LLMD is very different that an Infectious Disease Specialist. Good luck. (5 replies)
... Sterlan, LLMDs go primarily by clinical symptoms for treatment, rather than tests, but here is some more specific info. about numbers: 34 - outer surface protein, specific to Lyme 39 - the most specific antibody reaction to Lyme 41 - the flagella tail for borrelia bacteria 58 and 66 - heat shock proteins specific to Lyme When looking at tests alone, many LLMDs... Possible Lymes?

... Hi, From what I can remember, I had floaters, lightening flashes, clouding and occasionally pain. I also had the rabbit effect whenever the bacterial load was up - red eyes - which seems to be common with lymies. Regarding the dilating you mention, you might want to have your eyes checked just to make sure nothing else is going on. Yes, I've always known when there was a... (3 replies)
... Hi and thank you for the info. It was a quest lab that did the test. Also I did remove one tick from my son last march, at the time he also had fifths disease so was covered in rashes. It is of course possible that he had other ticks I never found since we live in an area that has alot of ticks. we also have two dogs and I have removed crawling ticks from them and also have... ... Doc is B Robert Mozayeni, Optimal Health Physicians, Rockville MD. You can search for the address/phone number since we can't post that info here. Here you go: I started to get weird symptoms in May 2004. Wasn't diagnosed with Lymes til August 2004, and was pretty much incapacitated. Was given the "standard" abx of Doxycycline 200mg for 3 weeks. Didn't feel any better,... (13 replies)

... Hi all, I suspect Lyme for myself but like so many others I have a doc who needs proof in the form of a positive test -going to switch providers in 30 days-for insurance purposes. I am swamped in bills at the moment and I can't afford a full lyme test so I figured I'd go with one to get the ball rolling and get the rest when I get my bills caught up in the next couple of...
