You may need testing done in case the long term antibiotics have damaged lining of the esophogus and stomach. You can treat that. ... I hesitate to suggest prescription meds since I'm not a doctor, but the treatment that has helped me MOST with neuro symptoms is cholestyramine. It is approved for reducing cholesterol, although apparently it is not terribly effective for that use. ... Hi TheZim. I am sorry so many in your family are dealing with this! I live in TN, and there definitely is Lyme here (Lyme is in every state). Although only 50% of people who have Lyme ever get a rash, a bulls-eye rash is a definite sign of Lyme. The rash alone merits treatment regardless of test results. If her rash comes back, it is good to get photos of it also. ... (6 replies)
