... Hi there, I'm glad they are getting you in on Tuesday. The surgery will help you ease your mind and you'll know exactly what you are dealing with. The fact that you don't have anything in your lungs is a very good sign. If, and I say "if" you have lymphoma it sounds like you will be able to nip it in the bud quickly. ... You're welcome. I know you are a guy, but if there is a way you can do what us ladies do and stress how high your anxiety is, they can speed up the process for you. I'm not much of a crier, but I have girlfriends who when they apply the "water works" the doctors respond quicker. They don't want us to suffer, their schedules are simply busier these days. ... The body is constantly fighting off opportunistic infection. That is germs in the air we breathe etc. So, a small infection could start and overtime gradually build up without notice. Thank goodness we have antibiotics for this. Many times in the former centuries people just died without anyone ever knowing why. (22 replies)
