... I don't know the proper answer for that. I believe T3 and T4 are building blocks for many hormones in your body. If they are low then there is not enough material to make other necessary hormones. I could be wrong on that though. I do know for sure though that hypothyroidism can cause hypogonadism (low T) because my doctor told me this and he is one of the leading experts... (4 replies)

He should be though as an Endo because the American Society of Clinical Endocrinologists guidlines for treating male hypogonadism includes the use of HCG when fertility is desired.
