Miscarriage & Still Birth Message Board

Miscarriage & Still Birth Board Index

Hello everyone. I'm new here, and feeling very lost at this moment. I recently found out that I am in the process of having a miscarriage. On Wednesday morning (early) I got up to go to the bathroom for the upteenth time and wiped and I always look after I wipe and there was so much blood. I stood up in a fright and proceeded to wipe some more and just kept getting blood. I told my fiance and later that morning he took me to the ER because the bleeding was getting heavy, but I wasn't having any pain. The doctor checked my cervix and said it was closed and it appeared bleeding had stopped but wanted to an ultrasound anyways. We did and mind you at this point I was supposed to be 10 weeks and they said the baby looked 6 weeks with no fetal heart tones. Yesterday I saw my OB who confirmed this with another ultrasound and we decided to let it pass on it's own. Today the bleeding is getting heavier and starting to have pretty good crampy pains in my lower abdomen. He gave some pain medication.....but I don't know how long this is going to last. He said once the bleeding starts to taper off then I am supposed to come back to him so he can do another ultrasound to make sure the baby is gone along with everything else.

I'm not sure why I just told strangers my story, but I have to talk to other women who understand...I'm just sad, and can't believe that my baby died, and I wanted this baby so very badly. This was my first pregnancy, and am so scared to try again later - thankfully I have great support at home and the doctor is just awsome, but I have no one really to talk to who has gone through this.

This has been the longest week of my life right now, and I just wish this was a very bad dream and I could wake up and be pregnant and the baby is alive and healthy.
