When do you get your period back after a miscarriage?

I started spotting February 29th (I was 7 weeks pregnant) and a few days later I found out that I was having a miscarriage. I bled for about 12 days total. I am wondering when I should expect my cycle to come back? I've heard different things, but i'm mainly wondering if it's measured from the start of your miscarriage, the end, or what?
Also, I wondered if I could ovulate before I get my first cycle?

it varies after my missed miscarriage i had a d&c and i didn't get my period for 2 months. and per the medical doctors u don't ovulate until your next cycle. and even then they suggest two full cycles before trying again
