... The pain/discomfort you are describing does sound a bit extreme. After my first m/c I felt a lot more cramping throughout my cycle, but not as if I had pulled something. Every once in a while I would feel some cramping but it would be very brief. I felt like I had pulled something in my lower back about 2 weeks before my first m/c, which was a missed m/c. ... As for what u saw - could it have been the actual sac? Maybe he missed it doing the d&c and did not want to admit it. I have heard of some women getting 2 & 3 d&cs for one lost pregnancy. I think the general rule of thumb is to have a good bit of time to allow the uterus to contract back into it's non-pregnant state (and for hormones to return to normal) before becoming pregnant again.
