Hi Carla...

I can completely understand where you are coming from. It's so scary to feel like something is wrong with your body and not to have a doctor validate that feeling. It really does make you feel like you belong in the ole asylum!

I have had abnormal results on MRI and VEP's. They still aren't able to diagnose me. The first two neurologists told me I needed to go to a Psychiatrist. I finally went to see an MS specialist and she has made all of the difference in the world!

I leave her office feeling like I am heard and cared for instead of a burden. Although she is not able to give me a definite dx, she is presuming that I have MS and is treating my symptoms as such. When I have another serious attack, she said we will do another MRI and continue to do MRI's over the next couple of years until we figure this out.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes it really sucks having to go through the motions of doctor hopping, the doctor can make all the difference.

How long has this stuff been going on with you?
Is this your first neurologist? Has your doctor done any bloodwork???

I hope you keep me updated. I relate to you!
-Dana
