Hi Nikki, thank you very much for the reply and the sharing of the experience.

How do you get to sleep / rest with the constant burning sensation pain ?

I am not able to feel the urge to urinate now and my muscle do not have the strength to push out the faeces ie hypotonia.

I feel like there is a rubber band around my waist. I feel a pressure up / electric shock feeling from the abdomen/diaphragm to the chest level whenever I stand up from a sitting position. Is it MShug ?

I come from a country whereby to receive subsidized medical cost (not free but the government pays some and I pay some), I have to join a queue to get to see the neurologist. My appointment to see the neurologist is seven months later.

The general practitioner doctor has commented that whether there is an early diagnosis or late diagonsis, when it is a MS, it is a MS, there is little can be done.

I agree with the GP doctor. But I do not know how to cope with the symptoms on a daily basis without any help, especially more symptoms appear every few days.

Please share the experience of coping with the MS symptoms on a daily basis.

Thanks.

Hi Nikki and MSJayhawk, thanks for sharing the experience of how to cope with the constant pain on a daily basis.

Yes, I also live one day at a time as Nikki has said just take something to help sleep, sleep wins out and tomorrow is a new day.

I have similar thought too to go to the Emergency Department but the ER doctor is not likely to admit me as my current conditions are not considered emergency (ie.
I am not able to feel the urge to urinate now and my muscle do not have the strength to push out the faeces ie hypotonia. I feel like there is a rubber band around my stomach/slightly below chest level. I feel a pressure up / electric shock feeling from the abdomen/diaphragm to the chest level whenever I stand up from a sitting position).

Appreciate it very much for sharing the experience of how to cope with MS symptoms on a daily basis.

Thanks.

If you are experiencing bowel movement problems, this may mean other concerns. Do you consume sufficient amounts of water? I hope that you can be seen by another doctor(s) while awaiting the neurologist. A bowel obstruction or other problems might arise. If you develop a fever, please go to the ER immediately.

In the meanwhile, bed rest and a cool place are warranted in my opinion. You need to have the AC or a ceiling fan on to maintain a comfort level.
